We enthusiastically invite you to attend this extraordinary groundbreaking conference, Emerging Issues in Embryo Donation and Adoption. As the first of its kind, this national conference has been created to facilitate interaction and educate professionals in the many aspects of this burgeoning multidisciplinary field. This three day meeting will foster education and collaboration of national experts and interested groups from various backgrounds in medicine, law, public policy, adoption, bioethics, and patient advocacy.
The conference will include such notable speakers as US Senator Tom Coburn from Oklahoma, a physician and former US Congressmen; Tom Atwood, President/CEO of the National Council for Adoption; Dr. Jeff Keenan, Medical Director of the National Embryo Donation Center; Barbara Collura, Executive Director of RESOLVE, a national infertility advocacy organization; and Andrea Bonnicksen, Presidential Research Professor and former Chair of the Department of Political Science from Northern Illinois University. Experts will cover medical and bioethical topics, adoption and legal issues, as well as patient advocacy and policy issues during several multidisciplinary workshops throughout the conference.
The meeting will be held at the beautiful Marriott Crystal Gateway in Virginia across the Potomac River from D.C. There is a complimentary hotel shuttle to and from Reagan National Airport. Shopping and numerous restaurants are within walking distance, as well as Metro lines providing convenient access to Washington, D.C. As an additional bonus, continuing education credits are available for physicians, attorneys, nurses, social workers, and physician assistants for a very reasonable additional $50 fee. We look forward to seeing you in May, 2008, for this unique opportunity to learn from and interact with leaders in the emerging field of embryo donation and adoption.
Thank you,
